The Story of Stuff
posted in: Resources, Sustainable Consumption on 08/15/2009

The Story of Stuff is an online video narrated by Annie Leonard that offers a disconcerting glimpse into the damage that our habits of consumption inflict on the environment.   From the initial stage of resource extraction through to eventual disposal, The Story of Stuff exposes the underside of all the buying and disposing that we Americans do and it inspires us to consume less and differently.

In fact, the video has been so successful that the makers have release additional videos on cosmetics, bottled water, and cap & trade.  A new video, The Story of Electronics  is due out November 9th.  I can’t wait to see it!
