This past spring, Greener Every Day rolled out a new green living program, called Green Parenting.  Green Parenting participants gain information, tools and resources to protect their families from environmental health hazards and create a greener, healthier home.

Designed for groups of 5-8 parents, Green Parenting is ideal for friends & neighbors who want to gather in an informal session to discuss ways to make greener, healthier choices for their families.  We cover some of the most challenging issues for parents including food, personal care & cleaning products & toys. The small group format allows for lots of questions & fosters lively discussion.

Here’s what the participants in the inaugural program had to say about their experience:
I loved not only the topics we covered, the lectures which Rachel led, but also all the discussion which ensued. We loved the classes so much that we decided to continue them again in the Fall. –Deena F., Newton

It was a great course and really helped me to understand the concerns around certain chemicals and the steps I can take to reduce exposure. –Niki O., Wellesley
If you would like to host a Green Parenting Program or are interested in learning more, please email us.  We’d be happy to bring Green Parenting to your group.

to recycle… But while we’ve been cleaning up the outdoors, another form of pollution has reared its head.  It’s called indoor pollution
and it has seriously compromised… [read more]

Yesterday my neighbor and I went out to Indian Head Farm in Berlin to
pick strawberries.  We were on a mission: pick as many strawberries as
we could in less than two hours (we had young kids with us and figured 2
hours was their limit).
I’m not going to lie and say it was easy work… [read more]
