Stillman’s recently expanded their operations to include animal husbandry.  Stillman’s at the Turkey Farm in Hardwick, MA provides meat through a year-round meat CSA (with drop-offs in Brookline, JP and Cambrdige) and at many Greater Boston farmer’s markets.

My family has had a membership in the meat CSA for two years and we are absolutely thrilled with the quality of the meat we receive–not to mention how satisfying it is to purchase sustainably raised meat from a local farm.  As with our vegetable CSA (through Newton Community Farm), it is sometimes challenging for us to figure out how to cook some of the cuts we receive; and at first, we had to adjust our cooking times and techinques for pastured, free-ranging animals, but Aidan Davin and Kate Stillman, the farmers, have always been there to advise and help us.
