About Us
Greener Every Day was founded in 2009 by Rachel White, PhD in order to help individuals and organizations develop and implement green goals, and achieve results that support their lifestyle objectives and organizational missions.
We offer services in the following areas:
GREEN LIVING
We help individuals incorporate sustainable practices into their homes and personal lives to promote personal health, financial well-being, and environmental stewardship.
GREEN LEARNING
We offer corporate and community-based educational programs that support organizational objectives such as resource efficiency, wellness, productivity, community building, and corporate social responsibility.
GREEN BUILDING
We consult with residential architects and builders to develop, implement, and track sustainability goals in order to achieve measurable gains in business performance and environmental stewardship, enhance client services, and promote best practices in the home building industry.
Rachel has a PhD from Brown University. She trained and worked for more than a decade as a researcher and educator at Brown University and Hebrew College. During her time in academia, Rachel developed a passion for personal sustainability. She made major energy efficiency improvements to her home (cutting her energy usage in half!), executed a green home renovation, and become actively involved in greening her community. As she incorporated more eco-friendly choices into her own life, she found that informal conversations with friends and colleagues about sustainability turned a bit more serious. More and more, she was asked for advice about everything from home composting to safe storage containers to energy efficiency. Rachel decided to leave her academic position so that she could devote herself full-time to helping others along the path of sustainability.
You can read about Rachel’s green living journey and learn more about her perspective on the challenges and joys of going green at The Greener Side of Life, the Greener Every Day blog. Rachel lives in Newton, MA (a suburb just west of Boston) with her husband, their two children, and their dog Butter.
